With 59 seconds left until the start of the fourth quarter, Reese was on offense and battling in the paint against Middle Tennessee center Anastasiia Boldyreva.

The officials called a foul on Boldyreva which was her fifth foul of the game.

Boldyreva was fouled out of the game and had to leave the court.

As she walked to the bench, Reese brought herself back up from the floor and proceeded to wave goodbye to the Middle Tennessee player.

Reese then waved her arms to get the LSU crowd even more loud.

Boldyreva, meanwhile, appeared to fight tears while animatedly talking with one of her coaches on the sideline before leaving the court.

LSU went on to claim the victory as they held Middle Tennessee to 28 percent shooting from the field in the second half.

However, March Madness fans were fixated over Reese’s actions toward Boldyreva.

One wrote, “No class.”

Another commented, “She’s so unlikeable.”

A third asked, “Isn’t that taunting?”

While a fourth added, “Have a little sportsmanship.”

After the win, Reese addressed the sequence with Boldyreva.

She called the wave moment “clickbait” for the media, writing, “clickbait everything I do keep going viral.”
