Coach Prime wasn’t pleased with Shelomi Sanders’ decision to enter transfer portal

Coach Prime was at odds with his daughter Shelomi over her decision to enter the transfer portal. Shelomi, who previously played basketball for Colorado, opted to make a move on April 8, prompting her father to question the wisdom behind her choice.

In an interview with DNVR, Coach Prime voiced his disapproval, labeling Shelomi’s decision “stupid”. He said:

“You don’t enter the portal. You get a team before you enter the portal. You kinda get a team before you enter the portal. You know, that’s what I would advise a child. And I know, ‘Well it’s illegal…’ C’mon, man.”

However, Shelomi’s decision received support from her mother, Pilar Sanders, Deion Sanders’ ex-wife. Pilar took to TikTok, backing Shelomi’s move. She said:

“You gottta put you first Lucious. We’re hitting the road y’all. We love Boulder Colorado thank you. But you gotta put you first baby. Let’s go.”
