The Buffalo Bills have announced the release of star safety Jordan Poyer this Wednesday.

The 32-year-old made 16 starts for the AFC supremos in 2023, making 100 tackles, four pass breakups, a forced fumble, and a sack. But it appears his services are no longer needed in Buffalo

Poyer signed a two-year deal with the Bills last year, having previously spent six seasons with the team.

A team captain with the Bills in 2021, Poyer was a first-team All-Pro at the end of the season. He also earned Pro Bowl honors in 2022.

The Bills are making moves early in the offseason. They traded offensive lineman Ryan Bates to the Chicago Bears this week, having also re-signed offensive lineman David Edwards and released defensive back Siran Neal.

Center Mitch Morse, running back Nyheim Hines, and wide receiver Deontay Harty have also been released.
