The Los Angeles Chargers have decided to part ways with their other superstar wide receiver in a blockbuster move.

One day after releasing Mike Williams in a cap-saving move, the team has decided to trade Pro Bowler Keenan Allen to the Chicago Bears in exchange for the surprisingly low price of a fourth-round pick, according to FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer:

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Chargers asked Allen to take a pay cut on Thursday, but the soon-to-be 32-year-old refused to do so. As such, the decision was made to deal him to the team that’s presumably about to land USC’s Caleb Williams with the first overall pick:

If Williams is the pick, his weapons will consist of Allen, D.J. Moore, D’Andre Swift and Khalil Herbert. Exciting times are ahead in Chicago, indeed.
