Police are now confirming that they are in fact investigating an alleged sexual assault by Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.
Yoel and Bethel Zehaie represent Victoria Baleigh Shores, who is accusing Prescott of sexually assaulting her in the back of an SUV in 2017.
Police are also investigating after Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott filed a lawsuit against her and her attorneys over an alleged extortion. The Prosper Police Department told James Hartley of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram that it is investigating after Prescott’s attorney went to them to report that he was the victim of theft by coercion.
Prescott’s lawsuit against the woman accuses her of defamation, slander, and intentional infliction of emotional distress, among other allegations.
“Mr. Prescott — a new father to a baby girl — has great empathy for survivors of sexual assault. He fervently believes that all perpetrators of such crimes should be punished to the fullest extent of the law,” said Prescott’s attorney Levi McCathern.
“To be clear, Mr. Prescott has never engaged in any nonconsensual, sexual conduct with anyone. Lies hurt. Especially, malicious lies. We will not allow the defendant and her legal team to profit from this attempt to extort millions from Mr. Prescott.”
A letter sent to Prescott from the woman’s attorneys claimed $100 million in damages and said she would be “willing to forgo pursuing criminal charges, along with disclosing this information to the public, in exchange for compensating her for the mental anguish she has suffered.”
Prescott’s attorney, Levi McCathern, called the allegations an “extortion plot.”
“She is trying to get $100 million from me to ‘not report’ a rape case I obviously did not do,” Prescott said in the text.
The 30-year-old stated they were never in a relationship, but “they knew each other both before and after the alleged assault,” according to McCathern.
In response, the woman’s attorney said that she intends to pursue criminal charges against Prescott.
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott was named one of five NFL MVP finalists this past year as he finished the NFL regular season with 4,516 passing yards, a league-leading 36 passing touchdowns, and nine interceptions en route to a 12-5 record.
