It’s the end of an era in Philadelphia.

On Monday afternoon, Philadelphia Eagles All-Pro center Jason Kelce announced in a press conference that he is indeed retiring from football. Kelce spent his entire 13-year career with the NFC East club.

It was widely reported after the Eagles’ Wild Card Round loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that Kelce informed his teammates of his plans to retire. Kelce opted to give it a little more time before deciding with certainty that it’s time to ride off into the sunset.

Kelce was drafted in the sixth round (191st overall) by the Eagles in 2011. He earned seven Pro Bowl nods and was a six-time First-team All-Pro, leading the Eagles to the franchise’s first Super Bowl title in the 2017 season.
