Former Miami guard Hanna Cavinder is back.
The Cavinder Twins will both be back in college basketball next year as Hanna Cavinder decided this week she will be taking her talents back to the University of Miami after one year away from the game.
Hanna Cavinder and her sister last played for Miami during the 2022-2023 season before quitting the sport to pursue other ventures, including appearances for the WWE’s NXT brand.
Her sister, Haley Cavinder, entered the transfer portal and landed at TCU after returning to the sport last year. She was the first to announce her comeback using her extra year of eligibility allowed by the NCAA due to the coronavirus pandemic last November.
Hanna Cavinder’s announcement also came with a video of her playing at Miami and ends with an orange heart emoji.
‘My last season of basketball was one of the most successful & challenging (years) of my life, but it helped me grow immensely,’ Hanna said on social media. ‘The past few months, I have been itching to get back to the game that I thought I lost the passion for. With that being said, I am returning for one more (season).’
The twins gained notoriety for participating in a roundtable meeting in Congress to explore issues related to the NIL space. The Cavinder twins spoke out in favor of NIL and how it has changed the situation for many collegiate athletes despite criticism from fans.
Back in 2021, the twins announced their first NIL deal with Boost Mobile in Times Square on the first day of college sports’ new era. Since then, they have used their combined social media following of more than 5 million to sign with brands like Champs Sports, Raising Cane’s, Intuit TurboTax, Core Hydration, WWE, PSD Underwear, Six Star Pro Nutrition, Caktus AI, among many others., according to On3.com.
The Cavinder Twins made headlines lately when they used Tinder to look for a match for Hanna Cavinder to go on a double date with Haley and Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson. They planned a fun-filled day that included pickleball, so the double date was enjoyable for them.

Hanna Cavinder will use her final season of eligibility at Miami, and she has shown in the past that she is more than just a pretty face with a large social media following.
Throughout 123 career games, Cavinder averaged 12.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game. She began her career at Fresno State, where she was named to the All-Mountain West team in consecutive seasons. After averaging 15.7 points per game in 2019–20, she was also selected to the Mountain West All-Freshman Team.
