Some new details have emerged regarding the mysterious birthday ring that Grammy Award winning Taylor Swift received earlier this month.

Swift recently displayed a shiny new ring she received for her birthday that one jewelry expert predicted was worth $175,000 or more. Many speculated that it was a gift from her boyfriend in Kansas City Chiefs superstar Travis Kelce, but it turns out that this wasn’t the case.

On her Instagram story, actress Keleigh Sperry (a close friend of Swift’s) revealed that she was the one who gifted the 34-year-old singer with the ring. Sperry’s IG story caption read, “Love this ring I had made for my friend, she’s bejeweled…so to all media outlets and Melissa at deux moi hera ya go!”

Swift’s relationship with Kelce went public in September, and the two have been a popular talking point across the NFL world. Swift has attended several Chiefs games this season, including last week’s road game against the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium.

Kelce and the Chiefs will host the rival Las Vegas Raiders at Arrowhead on Christmas Day next week.
