Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James has teased a move to an Eastern Conference side for the 2024/25 NBA season.

The four-time NBA champion has two years left on his current deal with the Lakers, but the last one is a player option that will see him earn $50 million if he decides to stick around. However, that might not be the case if his son Bronny gets drafted.

LBJ has made no secret of wanting to play alongside his eldest offspring and it’s quite unlikely he ends up in L.A. Bronny, who has committed to USC, is expected to declare for next year’s draft and, in a recent ESPN mock draft for the 2024 class, he went to the Atlanta Hawks as the No. 17 overall pick.

LeBron has responded to the prediction with an Instagram post in which he wrote the following:

“Wellllll ATL shawty the #JamesGang will be pulling up!”

LeBron Has Also Hinted At Retirement

The 38-year-old veteran did hint at retirement after the Lakers were expelled from the playoffs this year, telling reporters he has a lot to consider this offseason. No one’s buying the retirement suggestion, though.

As for Bronny, the five-star recruit recently committed to the Trojans and will wear his father’s famed No. 6 jersey. He isn’t expected to remain with the program past one season.

Unless the Lakers somehow fashion a move to get him, King James is likely to play elsewhere in 2024.
