Patriots rookie wide receiver Kayshon Boutte had a tumultuous rookie season and his offseason is now starting any better.

An arrest warrant was issued for the rookie and former LSU wide receiver Kayshon Boutte who accused him of illegally gambling, including betting on some LSU games.

The warrant issued through the 19th District Judicial Court says Boutte created an online gaming account in 2022. He registered as a person over 21 despite his still being a minor.

Some of the alleged illegal gaming took place while he was an LSU player. He reportedly never bet “against himself” and his actions in LSU games. In other words, he is not accused of throwing a game.

The wagers and payouts involved “several hundred thousand dollars.”

Boutte turned himself in on charges of Computer Fraud, a felony, and a misdemeanor count of Gaming Prohibited for Persons under 21.

Arrangements were already made for him to be booked, post a $6K bond, and then immediately released from the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.

Boutte is now 21 and played in five games for the Patriots last season.
