But fans have now clued on to her unusual method of transport — it appears she is hidden in a cleaning cart.

A video one fan filmed in Melbourne of the cart being wheeled backstage has gone viral. Her team have gone to great lengths, loading the cart with a mop and other cleaning tools.

In the video, the cart comes to a stop near a small black tent at the side of the stage. Swift briefly appears before heading up the stairs to make her way onto the stage in her opening Lover bodysuit.

“Taylor showing up in the cleaning cart! Wait for it,” one fan captioned a TikTok video.

“The cleanest mops ever,” one person said of the mop disguise.

“It’s just funny that now everyone knows, so it’s not hiding at all,” another commented.

“I love how she knows we know but keeps the gig up.”

Another said: “She is so funny for this.”

Others were marvelling at the singer’s swift ascent up the stairs to the stage.

“She ate the walk up the stairs though, OMG,” one said.

“She looks so pretty, OMG,” another agreed.

The cleaning cart revelation is the latest behind-the-scenes detail to be exposed, a week after fans were stunned to learn what the singer hears in her earpiece for her three-hour shows.

A metronome — a ‘ticking’ device used to keep time with the music — as well as a producer’s voice, counting her in and out of songs, was heard in a TikTok showing what she would likely hear.

The video shows Swift performing her hit The Man as the metronome keeps her in time and as a producer counts her in and out.

“POV: You’re listening to Taylor Swift’s in-ear monitor,” the video was captioned.

It is so loud in stadiums that artists such as Swift rely on metronomes to improve timing and the ability to maintain the tempo of the song.

The importance of this was seen in one of her shows from August 2023 when her in-ear metronome failed.

Ever the professional, Swift went over to her guitarist, indicating with her hands that she couldn’t hear.

He appeared to count her into the song, Love Story, before assisting her throughout the song to stay on beat.

She was seen tapping her ear, signalling to sound technicians that the metronome had failed.

Swift is performing the first of her four Sydney shows at Accor Stadium on Friday night.
