According to prosecutors, Cardi B and her entourage were targeting employees of Angels Strip Club in Flushing, Queens, over an apparent personal dispute.

She allegedly told eight people, including Tawana Jackson-Morel and Jeffrey Bush, to assault sisters Baddie Gi and Jade.

In 2019, Cardi B rejected a plea deal that would have given her a conditional discharge. Prosecutors then presented the case to a grand jury and obtained an indictment that included the two felony charges.

During sentencing, prosecutors described the melee saying: ‘The victims allegedly had glass bottles hurled at them, alcoholic drinks thrown in their faces and one woman’s head was slammed into the bar.’

After receiving her light penalty for the incident in September, the rapper went to Little Italy in Manhattan where she celebrated the decision.

Speaking to reporters as she left court, Cardi said: ‘I’m feeling like I look: good.’

The plea deal also stipulated that Cardi supply the court with a DNA sample, and prohibits her from contacting the victims in the case for three years.

Her statement following the sentence read in full: ‘As a mother, it’s a practice that I am trying to instill in my children, but the example starts with me.
