Patrick Mahomes is arguably the finest quarterback active in the competition at the moment. After all, winning 2 Super Bowls in just 6 years is not an easy task to accomplish. This is why the team from Kansas City has given him the biggest contract in NFL history. Back in 2020, Mahomes signed an extension deal worth a whopping $503 million with the Chiefs and although there are QBs fetching a bigger annual salary than him, none of them have got a 10-year contract.

Many experts do reckon that Patrick could have fetched a lot more if he hadn’t sign a 10-year deal in one go. Nevertheless, Mahomes took a hefty $45 million for his heroics last season which isn’t a bad number by any stretch. However, despite getting showered with cash, Mahomes still chooses to live in a 70-year-old mansion which he purchased in 2019 for around $1.7-1.9 Million.

Patrick Mahomes still needs some more paychecks to get a house like Tom Brady

This might be a bit hard to believe for football fans across the planet but it is true. Patrick Mahomes does live a Country Club mansion located in Kansas City Missouri which was constructed in 1953. However, as reported by workandmoney.com, Patrick had spent around $400,000 on renovations before shifting into his new home.

Even if we add that cost to the estimated amount of money spent in buying the house, the final number stands somewhere between $2.1 to 2.3 million. If we compare that to the amount of money spent by 7x Super Bowl champion Tom Brady on his new residence, then the difference which comes out might end up blowing your mind.

Located on Indian Creek island, Tom and his ex-wife Gisele Bundchen bought a massive $17 million worth mansion on the Atlantic coast of South Florida. While the couple decided to go separate ways after buying the massive property, Daily Mail had reported a while ago that Tom is still continuing with the renovation work in the same house. After all, you don’t abandon a multi-million dollar worth property in arguably the best neighborhood on the planet.

Coming to the dollar difference between the residences of the two marquee QBs, we arrive at a figure very close to $14.7 million. Even when the world is saying that Mahomes is the next Brady, he might have to play more and of course, earn more before he gets to buy a house in the Billionaire Bunker.

Patrick Mahomes has everything needed to match Brady, ‘Dollar-wise’

Tom Brady had the option to sign deals which could have fetched him way more money than what he ended up with. However, the smart QB settled for less money in order to stay with a team that had Super Bowl winning potential. As a result, he finished his career with as many as 7 rings.

While Tom compromised a bit when it came to signing NFL deals, he more than made up for it by succeeding as an entrepreneur. Tom’s own brand TB12 which offers an array of products, and his other investments, allowed the champion QB to amass a $250 million net worth.

As far as Mahomes is concerned, his net worth currently stands at $50 million. However, one must not forget that Patrick is still very young and is just starting to get those massive paychecks. As time goes on, we can expect him to put his money into several up and coming businesses and who knows, even he might go on to start his own clothing line.
