Dwayne Johnson is back in the Fast Family and will once again star alongside Vin Diesel like in the good old days. Similar to the past, The Rock announced another spin-off to the Fast & Furious franchise, similar to what he did in 2019 with Hobbs & Shaw.

This time, however, Dwayne Johnson surprisingly accepted Vin Diesel’s condition while creating the spin-off that he did not do back in 2019. The spin-off will feature a showdown between Jason Momoa’s Dante Reyes and Johnson’s Hobbs but more importantly, it will be a bridge between Fast X and the upcoming Fast 11.

Dwayne Johnson Accepted Vin Diesel’s Condition For Fast & Furious Spin-off

After The Rock and Vin Diesel parted ways in 2017, the Fast Family was broken up, with actors choosing which side to join. Jason Statham went on to join Dwayne Johnson in the 2019 spin-off movie Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, which divided the actors all the more.

It was only recently reported that the feud between The Rock and Vin Diesel was put to rest. After that news, The Rock was quick to announce a spin-off in the Fast & Furious franchise wherein it will be just him and Jason Momoa as Dante Reyes. The Jumanji actor did agree on a certain condition put by Vin Diesel that the spin-off should be connected to the main universe.

This wasn’t the case when Jason Statham and the Jungle Cruise actor starred in the 2019 movie, as Idris Elba’s antagonistic character was in no way connected to the franchise at all. This seemed to hurt the cast of the Fast & Furious franchise deeply. The Rock promised Vin Diesel that history won’t be repeated and that the spin-off will serve as the bridge between the recently released Fast X and the upcoming Fast 11.

Themba Gorimbo is a UFC fighter that recently defeated Takashi Sato in May. After his victory, Gorimbo revealed that he only had $7 to his name, a similar amount that Dwayne Johnson had before he found fame.

The Rock promise the UFC fighter financial aid and in an interview, Gorimbo revealed that he and the Black Adam actor have been planning to meet for a while now.
“I speak to him. We chat on Twitter and stuff like that, and we are arranging a date [and] where we’re going to meet, in person, obviously.”
With spin-offs and helping UFC fighters, Dwayne Johnson is attached to a whopping 10 other upcoming projects, including the Fast & Furious franchise, Red Notice 2, and Moana among others.
