After the Princess of Wales revealed her devastating cancer diagnosis last month, many hoped the feeding frenzy over her withdrawal from public life would finally stop.

And while some conspiracy peddlers have apologized – including celebrities like Andy Cohen – other key players, particularly those on social media, have doubled down on their harassment of the sick princess.

Tech entrepreneur Christopher Bouzy – made famous for his appearance on Harry and Meghan’s 2022 Netflix documentary – is among those already outed for spreading scurrilous lies about Kate.

Bouzy is a staunch member of a self-styled ‘Sussex Squad’ that vigorously defends Meghan against perceived online bullying, while seemingly viewing attacks on Kate as fair game.

But while Bouzy continues to obsess over a preposterous theory that recent footage of Kate at a farm shop in Windsor was faked, he has at least drawn the line at questioning the Princess’s cancer diagnosis.

The same cannot be said of all his fellow online Sussex defenders.

A lawyer who worked at Harvard University, and currently serves as UCLA’s Director of Race and Equity, Perkins has spent recent weeks spreading vile falsehoods about the princess on his X (formerly Twitter) account, including doubting whether she is ‘still alive’ and making the entirely baseless claim that her cancer is fake.

A lawyer who worked at Harvard University, and currently serves as UCLA’s Director of Race and Equity, Perkins has spent recent weeks spreading vile falsehoods about the princess on his X (formerly Twitter) account, including the entirely baseless claim that her cancer is fake.

Posting to some 31,000 followers, Perkins, 37, flaunts his credentials as a ‘public academic, higher education attorney, lecturer and podcast co-host’, adding – not a little ironically – that he is devoted to ‘creating a more just and equal society’.

Among his many recent posts about the princess, most malicious are his accusations that she is a ‘known liar’, and that he does not believe she ‘had/has cancer’.

He has also said that Kate does ‘not deserve my respect’, that she could be ‘in a coma or dead’, and that the Royal Family is ‘using the Cancer Card’ to ‘cover for something else’.

On Easter Sunday, he cruelly joked: ‘Wait, isn’t Kate Middleton supposed to rise today?’

The lies about Kate’s diagnosis are particularly shocking given that Perkins himself is a cancer survivor, posting openly about his own past battle with the disease.

Much like Bouzy, while Perkins seemingly has no qualms trashing Kate’s integrity, he appears practically allergic to even the slightest criticism of the Duchess of Sussex.

Early last month, he tweeted: ‘You realize whole tabloid departments are dedicated to making up crap about Meghan Markle?’

In another post, he shared a photo of the Duchess and wrote: ‘FYI, this is an American Princess Meghan Markle stan account.’

LA-based, Perkins first trained as a lawyer at the University of Virginia, before moving to work in Harvard’s prestigious Office of the General Counsel.

Now at UCLA, he earns $125,920 per year as part of the university’s ‘Office of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion’.

As such, many will point out an obvious hypocrisy between his cruel comments about Kate and their stark contrast to UCLA’s ‘Equity, Diversity and Inclusion’ values.

Indeed, the university’s ‘Inclusive Excellence Framework’ states that, in his role, Perkins works to ‘uphold dignity for all’ and ‘foster open-mindedness, understanding, compassion and inclusiveness’.

It also makes clear that the university does ‘not tolerate acts of discrimination, harassment or conduct causing harm to individuals.’

Specifically, UCLA’s HR guidelines for staff strictly prohibit the harassment of individuals on the basis of ‘cancer-related’ medical conditions, while those found to have breached harassment guidelines can expect ‘disciplinary action’ or ‘termination/dismissal’.

In a statement to DailyMail.com, a UCLA spokesperson said: ‘Statements on [Perkins’s] personal social media account don’t reflect the views of the university.’

‘[UCLA’s values] seek to foster open-mindedness, understanding, compassion and inclusiveness among all in our diverse community,’ they added.

Perkins did not respond to requests for comment, but has since ‘locked’ his X account to prohibit public viewing of his tweets, and added a bio descriptor stating that his posts are ‘NEVER [a] representation of [my] employer’s views’.

Nonetheless, some might be surprised that UCLA have, as yet, stopped short of dismissing Perkins from his role.

After all, this is not the first time he has caused a headache for university staff.

In a since-deleted tweet from March 2022, Perkins appeared to wish death upon conservative Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas after he was admitted to hospital.

‘No one wants to openly admit [we all] hope Clarence Thomas dies,’ he wrote.

After considerable backlash, UCLA was forced to admit that his comments ‘[did] not reflect UCLA EDI’s views’.

And yet, Perkins – who never apologized – somehow kept his job.

Nor was it his first run-in with academic officialdom.

While studying at the University of Virginia School of Law in 2011, Perkins made headlines after accusing campus police of racially profiling him during a late-night stop and search.

In a letter published in the law school’s student paper, he claimed that two officers had stopped him on the way home from a party, told him he ‘fit the description’ of a man they were looking for and carried out a body search.

Many students came out in support of Perkins – who has since become a fierce proponent of the Black Lives Matter movement.

However, weeks after his letter was published, Perkins dramatically retracted his claims, saying in a statement: ‘I wrote the article to bring attention to the topic of police misconduct. The events in the article did not occur.’

The ensuing backlash was huge, and he was accused of race-baiting and labeled a liar by fellow Virginia students and in the media.

In 2017, Perkins backtracked again, this time claiming the incident did happen as he had first described, but that he had been forced to retract his statement following threats from the FBI.

After so much upheaval over perceived lies and scandals potentially threatening his employment stability, one might think that Perkins would be more wary of what he says in public.

But, if his recent vitriolic ramblings about the Princess of Wales are anything to go by, perhaps some people never learn.
