FAMILY Feud has gotten a blast from the past after a contestant reappeared on the show after several decades.

A contestant named Brenda Simmons first appeared on Family Feud 42 years ago, and the show posted the clip on social media.

Richard Dawson, who died in 2012, was the host of the show when she first appeared.

Brenda was only 17 years old during her first appearance, but she was happy to tell the new host, Steve Harvey, 66, all about it.

She even brought a photo featuring Richard with his arm wrapped around her as a teen.

Steve got very excited and said: “Let me tell you something, this is real talk, I’m not just saying this.

“When that dude was hosting this show, I watched it all the time. He was the dappest dude.”

He continued: “You see them suits? I said, ‘As soon as I get on TV, Imma get me some suits!'”

‘THE OG’

On X, formerly known as Twitter, everyone loved being reminded of Richard.

Family Feud’s account wrote: “Brenda returns to #FamilyFeud 42 years later! #SteveHarvey pays homage to #RichardDawson, a.k.a. the OG!”

One fan said: “That lady saw Richard Dawson over 42 years ago wow that’s a long time ago.”

Another said: “I would think the same thing. All the girls I could have if I had those suits & Richard Dawson’s personality & if I could bust moves like Ray Combs.

“Those two to this day still blow my mind.”

THE BEST ANSWER

In late August, a contestant defied age and Steve’s expectations by answering an NSFW question.

Phyllis’s surprisingly sex-positive guess was shared by the game show on Instagram.

Steve, being a gentleman, gave the family’s grandmother a fair warning that the question would be suggestive.

He eased in by saying: “This is the question I’m going to ask you, Mrs. Phyllis. I don’t approve of this question at all.”

“Okay,” she responded. “You wanna throw it out?”

Steve replied that he couldn’t, but he blamed the “them little dirty producers” for forcing his hand.

The television host then read the question: “If your sex life had a remote control, name a button you’d hit a lot.”

Surprisingly, Phyliss was more than happy to answer the question.

“Change the channel,” she guessed instantly with a completely straight face.

Steve started laughing while holding onto the team’s podium and yelled: “Give me something else!”

Unfortunately, her answer wasn’t on the board, but she was a good sport.
