Former Alabama running back and two-time National champion Bo Scarborough has announced his retirement. Scarborough was a star for the Crimson Tide and helped them to winning the College Football Championship in both 2015 and 2017.

Scarbrough made the announcement that he would be hanging up his cleats over the weekend.

Despite his collegiate success, Scarborough was not drafted until the seventh round of the 2018 NFL Draft, 236th overall by the Dallas Cowboys. Bo did not make the Cowboys as he was cut before the season began.

After two short stints with the Jaguars and Seahawks practice squads, Scarborough finally got some regular season action with the Lions in 2019 and 2020 appearing in seven games rushing for 408 yards and a touchdown.

Scarborough once again found success when he signed with the Birmingham Stallions of the United States Football League half way through the 2022 season. He took over starting running back duties and led the Stallions to the first ever USFL Championship. Scarborough rushed for 135 yards and two touchdowns in the Championship game as the Stallions beat the Philadelphia Stars 33-30.

Bo would go on to win a second championship with the Stallions in 2023.
