Dak Prescott came into the season on the back of a 15-interception campaign in 2022. He was criticized for his heavy turnovers last season and there was a lot of scrutiny on the veteran quarterback.
However, the eighth-year QB had a fantastic regular season this time as he led the Dallas Cowboys to a 12-5 record. He was in the MVP conversation and was much better than his previous campaign.
However, that did not translate into the playoffs as Prescott struggled against the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card game on Sunday. The QB threw two interceptions, the second being a pick-6 that gave the Packers a shocking 27-0 first-half lead. Although he answered back by scoring just before halftime, the game was already out of their reach by that point.
Prescott eventually finished the game with 403 yards, 3 touchdowns, and those two first-half interceptions. Most of the QB’s touchdowns came in the second half when the game was already over. The Packers ended up winning the game, 48-32.
The QB is due for a contract extension in the offseason. After yet another dismal postseason performance, the Cowboys will surely think long and hard about giving him an extension. Their fans certainly have voiced their opinions about it on social media. The ball is completely in Jerry Jones‘ court with that one.
Fans slam Dak Prescott for yet another playoff stinker against the Packers in the Wild Card game
The Dallas Cowboys lost their Wild Card game against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. It was a surprise result that no one saw coming, not even the Packers themselves. Dak Prescott and company had one of the franchise’s worst performances in recent memory as the Packers came into the AT&T Stadium and destroyed the home team, 48-32.

Fans on social media expressed their disappointment towards the team, especially their quarterback Prescott, whose poor first half performance essentially cost his team the game. Prescott is eligible for a contract extension in the offseason, however, some fans are questioning whether to invest in a QB that has been a disappointment in the big games. Here are some of the reactions on social media.
The Cowboys will look to come back stronger next season. However, it will be interesting to see what Jerry Jones decides to do with his franchise quarterback
