The Denver Nuggets won the 2022-23 NBA Championship behind the leadership of Nikola Jokic in the playoffs.

If winning an NBA Championship once is difficult, then winning back-to-back titles is even tougher for any NBA franchise.

However, the Nuggets are playing with a chip on their shoulder in the 2023-24 NBA season, as they have a 9-2 record in the first 11 games of the season.

As expected, the center of the Nuggets’ incredible performance is none other than Jokic.

So much so that according to a tweet by NBA on ESPN, Jokic is currently in the top 10 in four major offensive stats.

When the tweet was posted, Jokic was averaging 29.8 points, 13.7 rebounds, and 8.3 assists per game on 60.6% shooting from the field.

The two-time NBA MVP was fifth in points, first in rebounds, fifth in assists, and seventh in field goal percentage.

Keeping that in mind, if Jokic can continue playing at this level, he may win the third MVP award of his career when it’s all said and done.

Even if Jokic cannot win the regular-season MVP award, the veteran center will hope to lead the Nuggets to another title.

To be honest, it doesn’t feel like a far-fetched dream for the Nuggets.

If they can win two consecutive titles, it will make the Nuggets only the 13th team in NBA history to achieve this honor.

What is the ceiling for Jokic and the Nuggets in the 2023-24 NBA season?

As of now, they are looking like the favorites to represent the Western Conference in the 2024 NBA Finals.
