Clippers star James Harden recently expressed sadness at the news of his fellow teammate’s injury. Harden, who joined the Clippers recently, talked about Westbrook’s injury in the post-game interview.

When James Harden joined the Clippers, fans were skeptical of his place on the roster. However, the 10-time All-Star has regained great form after struggling in his initial days. He recently shut down the negative talk surrounding him.

James Harden finds Russell Westbrook’s injury upsetting

The Los Angeles Clippers faced the Washington Wizards on Friday night and were able to secure a much-needed win for their team. However, in the first half of the match, Clippers star Russell Westbrook was injured after he tried to steal the ball from Jordan Poole. He suffered a fracture in his left hand and is sidelined, with no announcement from the Clippers regarding his current situation.

Russell’s teammate James Harden expressed his sadness about Russell’s injury in a post-game interview. “I do not even know what is going on,” said Harden when asked about the injury of Russell. Harden stated that he didn’t even know that Mr. Triple Double had fractured his left hand.

On being asked what he would miss when Russell is absent, Harden said, “Everything he brings to the game, his athleticism, his energy, his play-making abilities, and his leadership.” He praised his teammates and appeared sad for the injury he had suffered.

Russell Westbrook’s probable return date to the court

Russell has sustained a fracture in his left hand, and the Clippers have not provided any updates on his current condition. Currently, the Clippers star is sidelined indefinitely until further information is available.

Medical experts suggest that the healing time for a broken hand or fracture is typically around four to five weeks. Athletic or sports activities can be resumed after approximately eight weeks. Therefore, it might take some time before we witness Mr. Triple Double back in action.

However, Clippers fans need not worry about the team’s performance for the rest of the season. The Clippers right now are a superstar team who were dubbed the scariest team in the West. The absence of Westbrook would hurt them a bit and Tyronn Lue might have to make some changes to his tactics.

On the brighter side, Paul George has returned from injury and James Harden and Kawhi Leonard have formed a formidable duo. If all of the aforementioned players can stay healthy, making the playoffs would not be a difficult task for them.
