Jason and Travis Kelce have issued a joint statement following the fatal shooting that took place at the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade last Wednesday.
The famous brothers posted a video addressing the tragedy on Monday ahead of their upcoming “New Heights” podcast episode that will debut on Feb. 21.
“We have a pre-recorded episode for you guys coming up on Wednesday but after the tragic events at the Super Bowl parade in Kansas City, it didn’t feel right without you hearing from us first,” Travis, 34, began.
“We just wanted to say our hearts go out to all of the victims, their families, Chiefs kingdom and really all of Kansas City that was there on a day to try to celebrate the community,” Jason, 36, added.
“It is unfortunate and deeply tragic the events that occurred,” the Philadelphia Eagles tight end continued.
“We also want to thank the local law enforcement that sprang into action and first responders on scene and anybody that has been willing to help those affected by this tragedy.”
Travis also announced they would be sharing a link to the Kansas City Chiefs’ emergency response fund so people can donate. “Your donation goes toward supporting victims and their families, violence prevention and mental health services,” he stated.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end already donated $100,000 to two sisters affected by the shooting.
“Travis has a really big soft spot for kids and wanted to make sure their families were taken care of and were supported with whatever they needed,” an insider told Page Six Friday.
Meanwhile, his Grammy-winning girlfriend, Taylor Swift, donated $100,000 to a family who lost their mom at the reckless hands of the shooter.
Jason continued in the clip, “One of the things that is evident is how much Kansas City is coming together and rallying around the people that have been affected by this.”
“And one of the beautiful things that we have in doing this podcast is a wonderful community out there.”
He also confirmed that he and Travis plan to do more to support the community and “have some ideas.”
The Valentine’s Day shooting injured 22 people and took the life of one. Just over half of those injured were children.
Shortly after the shooting, the Kanas City Chiefs organization showed support for all affected.
“We are truly saddened by the senseless act of violence that occurred outside of Union Station at the conclusion of today’s parade and rally,” their social media statement read.Shortly after the shooting, the Kanas City Chiefs organization showed support for all affected.

The statement continued, “We are in close communication with the Mayor’s office as well as the Kansas City Police Department. At this time, we have confirmed that all of our players, coaches, staff, and their families are safe and accounted for.”
The team concluded, “We thank the local law enforcement officers and first responders who were on-scene to assist.”
The Chiefs also teamed up with the Hunt Family Foundation and the NFL to donate $200,000 to the emergency response fund.
Travis, who was seen taking selfies with Kansas City policemen hours after the tragedy, also shared a message on X.
“I am heartbroken over the tragedy that took place today. My heart is with all who came out to celebrate with us and have been affected. KC, you mean the world to me,” the NFL star penned.
The Chiefs’ quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, and his wife, Brittany, also released statements.
“Praying for Kansas City… 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽,” the three-time Super Bowl champion tweeted.
Brittany, meanwhile, condemned the violence as embarrassing and disappointing on her Instagram Story.
“Lives lost and people injured during something that was suppose [sic] to be a celebration,” she regretfully added.
