The Kansas City Chiefs have received deplorable scores on their 2024 NFLPA report card following a second successive Super Bowl-winning campaign.

While Andy Reid got the highest ratings among head coaches in the NFL, the Chiefs ranked poorly overall, coming second to last in the most recent player survey.

The locker room was the chief complaint among players (pun intended), with many of them feeling that the space needed renovation. The team ranked 28th in such regard, receiving a score of F. The players were promised that the renovations would come after the 2022 season but it appears the only change was “actual chairs with backs” following last year’s complaints.

“The players went on to win the Super Bowl and when they arrived back at their facility for the 2023-2024 season, they realized the team never followed through with the promised renovation (other than adding chairs),” the report notes.

Chiefs players also feel the training room is understaffed as just 43 percent of them claim they got enough one-on-one treatment time.

“Players feel that the staff is unwilling to provide the necessary treatment to support recovery and performance; for example, players are not allowed to get preventative treatment (soft tissue work, other care) for soreness and day-to-day issues, a regular offering across the NFL.”

Despite all of their Super Bowl success, it appears the Chiefs are not prepared to make their players too comfortable as they’ve hardly reinvested in team facilities.
