More than five years later, the world still seems to be talking about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s royal wedding! A video of the then Prince Charles walking Meghan down the aisle has resurfaced on TikTok – and the added inclusions of the late Queen Elizabeth IIKate Middleton, and Zara Tindall reacting to that moment has made it go viral!

Footage From Prince Harry And Meghan Markle’s Wedding Resurfaces On TikTok

The video begins showing footage of the then Prince Charles walking his soon-to-be daughter-in-law down the aisle, as her estranged father Thomas Markle was unable to attend. There have since been several discoveries about that moment, including Prince Harry asking his father to walk his bride down the aisle of St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.

In a documentary to mark his father’s 70th birthday, Prince Harry previously said: “I asked him to and I think he knew it was coming and he immediately said ‘Yes, of course, I’ll do whatever Meghan needs, and I’m here to support you.’” Harry also added at the time: “For him that’s a fantastic opportunity to step up and be that support, and you know he’s our father so of course he’s going to be there for us. I was very grateful for him to be able to do that.”

Something else we later discovered about that moment was that Meghan actually wanted to walk down the aisle by herself – which she did at the start – and asked Prince Charles to meet her halfway as a compromise. According to Robert Hardman’s book, Queen of Our Times: The Life of Queen Elizabeth II: “Feeling for his future daughter-in-law, the [then] Prince of Wales offered to step in, saying he would be honored to escort Meghan up the aisle of St George’s Chapel to the altar. However, Meghan apparently had a counter-suggestion, and asked the future King of England a very important four-worded question: ‘Can we meet halfway?'”

The video goes on to show some of the members of the royal family reacting to that moment, as well as other moments from the ceremony. Due to the way the video was cut and put together, the reactions may not be totally accurate – but that didn’t stop TikTok users from sounding off in the comments section!

TikTok Comments

“The Queen knew everything,” thought one TikTok user. “It’s Kate and Zara faces for me,” commented another, followed by the skull emoji and the crying laughing emoji. Another user also posted the crying laughing emoji, adding, “Zara’s face told everything.” “Zara was always looking out for her cousin Prince Harry but Prince Harry didn’t listen,” thought another user. “Zara’s face spoke a thousand words,” wrote another.

Analyzing the late Queen’s reaction, another user said: “The Queen knew.” “What did she know?” enquired another, as someone else replied: “That an evil troublemaker comes [into] the family.” “Queen was on to her trouble from day one,” wrote another user, as another chimed in: “The Queen was not amused.” “No one looks happy for them,” speculated another.
