Kim’s fashion choices have been the center of fan scrutiny throughout her career
KIM Kardashian has officially been named a Balenciaga brand ambassador despite rampant fan allegations of the fashion house’s indiscretions.
The Kardashians star previously faced backlash for working with the company after a 2023 ad campaign filled with controversy surrounding images of children in BDSM-style clothes.

Despite the controversy, Kim, 43, announced she is now an official brand ambassador for Balenciaga on Monday.
The high-fashion line’s official Instagram account shared the news with a quote from the TV personality.
“Today, Balenciaga names Kim Kardashian as a new brand ambassador,” they wrote alongside a black and white photo of the star.
“For several years now, Balenciaga’s designs have been a part of my many looks – and some of my most iconic fashion moments.
“This historic fashion house embraces modernity, craftsmanship, and takes an innovative approach to design under Demna,” the mother-of-four added.
“For me, this long-standing relationship is built on mutual trust and a commitment to doing what’s right,” Kim continued.
“I’m excited about this next chapter for the brand and to become their ambassador.”
The Skims founder reshared the posts to her own profile.
Fans were livid to learn of Kim’s decision to work closer with Balenciaga.
“She’s bold for this one…” one wrote on Reddit, opening up the conversation.
“Is this the same company that had children in bondage outfits on their ads?” a second reminded.
“I guess ‘doing what’s right’ to Kim is exploiting children. Good fit since her mother has been exploiting her and her sisters for decades, and she’ll probably do the same to her daughters,” a third scathed.
“So selfish, is she just going to turn a blind eye to the scandal?” a fourth wondered.
“Disgusting,” one user said, and another added, “gross.”
BALENCIAGA SCANDAL
The fashion house fiasco began when photos from their Spring 2023 ad campaign showed children holding teddy bears wearing fishnet tops and what looked like bondage gear.
The incident escalated further when photos of a second campaign collaboration with Adidas also showed a bag placed on legal documents that were related to child pornography.
The French-owned company deleted its Instagram posts displaying the controversial images shortly after, but instead of separating herself straight away, Kim took time to release her own statement.
In part, the message read, “As a mother of four, I have been shaken by the disturbing images.
“The safety of children must be held with the highest regard and any attempts to normalize child abuse of any kind should have no place in our society — period.
“I appreciate Balenciaga’s removal of the campaigns and apology. In speaking with them, I believe they understand the seriousness of the issue and will take the necessary measures for this to never happen again.”
Kim has worn high-end Balenciaga looks to glittering events such as the 2021 Met Gala and the Oscars, and famously stunned in a pink bodysuit from the brand on Saturday Night Live.
BACK IN BALENCI
The Hulu star recently began wearing the fashion line’s clothing again, sparking fury in her fandom.
Kim visited the mountains with her kids for the New Year.
She posted a series of photos on Instagram, which included her kids dressed up to protect themselves from the cold weather.
Kim shared a selfie which showed off her matching white ski outfit.
She donned a padded white jacket with a white shirt underneath, which had a huge black Balenciaga logo on.
FAN ALLEGATIONS
Fans thought this detail was strange and took to a popular social media thread to discuss their thoughts.
Users slammed Kim for being “money grabbing,” and supporting the previously slammed brand.
“Exactly!! Grubbing where they can because they’re goin broke!” someone said.
“They are so vile! Delusional and dumb in so many ways. The fact that people out there still worship them makes me sad for humanity,” another added.
“Makes me sad for her kids,” a user noted.
