Meghan Markle has the “perfect excuse” not to return to the UK with Prince Harry next month, a Royal expert has claimed – and it’s all to do with security

Meghan Markle has a good reason to avoid a UK reunion with Kate and William, according to a Royal expert. Prince William and Prince Harry might have a chance to mend their relationship when Harry comes back to the UK in May.

However, the Duchess of Sussex might not join him, says a Royal expert.

Prince Harry is planning to return to the UK next month to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games. Some people thought this could be a great chance for the Sussex and Wales families to get together, especially after Kate Middleton’s recent cancer diagnosis.

But, it’s very unlikely that Meghan will come with her husband, says Richard Fitzwilliams. He told The Sun: “Meghan isn’t obviously keen on visiting Britain because she is not popular here. Nor is Harry, but it’s different for him. She’s asked for this. If she comes there will be a huge amount of adverse publicity because of the way she has acted for the past four years. On top of that you have the issue of Archie and Lilibet who are completely blameless.”

Richard also mentioned that Harry recently lost his bid for more security. This could work in Meghan’s favour, hinting that she could use it as an “excuse” not to visit, reports the Mirror.

But, he said their protection “wouldn’t be an issue” if they decide to make the journey across the Atlantic.

“The security would be decided on a case by case basis, they would make sure the trip was secure from the point of view of the UK,” he said. “I think security could be used as an excuse not to come though.”

He concluded: “Meghan has every right to come but they have been thrown out of Frogmore and for a good reason.

“Spare and the interviews around it were horrible frankly. She has the perfect excuse not to come over because Harry has lost his security case.”

Harry is set to return to the UK in a matter of weeks. He’s due to speak at a special service to celebrate the Invictus Games, which will be held at St. Paul’s Cathedral on May 8.

It’s believed the Prince and Princess of Wales had tried to encourage Harry and Meghan to bring their children with them to the UK to end the Royal rift.

Royal author Tom Quinn previously told The Mirror: “There is no way Meghan would bring the children to the UK. William and Kate have suggested that Meghan and Harry bring the children and that the two couples and their families try to make up, but the suggestion is not leading anywhere so far.”

Harry recently opened up about his plans to return to the UK. During an appearance on Good Morning America, he said: “So my family and my life in California is as it is. I have got other trips planned. That would take me through the UK or back to the UK, so you know, I’ll stop in and see my family as much as I can.”

He also shared: “Look, I love my family. The fact that I was able to get on a plane and go and see him and spend any time with him I’m grateful for that.”
