The late Queen Elizabeth II loved her grandson Harry and wanted Meghan Markle to do her duty as a royal bride, but she completely ignored him.

According to Independent , Queen Elizabeth II was surprised to be ignored by Meghan Markle, as if pouring cold water on her for not following her advice on adapting to British Royal life.

This information is mentioned by royal historian Robert Jobson in a new book called Our King Charles III: The Man and the Monarch Revealed.

Robert Jobson said the late Queen asked the Duchess of Sussex to ask for advice from Sophie – the Duchess of Edinburgh. She feels her daughter-in-law can act as an advisor to her granddaughter-in-law.

However, Meghan Markle refused and said “she has her own decision”. The Duchess of Sussex declined the offer because Harry was with her.

“Meghan’s answer surprised the queen and made her feel like she was being poured cold water,” Robert Jobson wrote in the book.

Meghan Markle once ignored the advice of the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Robert Jobson is not the first person to make this claim. Gyles Brandreth – spokesman for the British Royal Family – told ITV that the Duchess of Sussex just wants to receive help from her husband when she becomes a royal bride.

“The Queen told Meghan that she was not used to entering the royal family. It was not an easy thing. But Meghan did not need Sophie Wessex’s advice because she thought having Harry by her side was enough,” Gyles Brandreth said after Harry and Meghan released a documentary in December 2022.

Gyles Brandreth said the late Queen Elizabeth gave Meghan advice because she loved her grandson Harry. She is very concerned about the Sussex family. “She loves all of her grandchildren, but has special affection for Harry. She likes his humor and always welcomes Meghan with open arms,” Brandreth said.

In an interview with The Sunday Times , Sophie – the late Queen’s daughter-in-law – said royal family members do what they can to help newcomers.

“We all help our family members. I hope they are happy,” Sophie said when Sussex announced her departure from the British Royal Family.

Recently, in an interview with Sky News, writer Sophie Elsworth said that the vast majority of British people were happy because they did not have to witness the moment Meghan Markle stood with members of the British Royal Family at the coronation ceremony on May 6.

Buckingham Palace has just confirmed that the Duke of Sussex attended his father’s coronation ceremony, while Meghan stayed at the Montecito mansion, California, USA with her children. The coronation ceremony took place on the 4th birthday of Prince Archie – Harry’s first son.

“The haunted former actress appeared in the media, dominating the newspapers. I can’t believe that woman didn’t appear because she was always haunted by herself,” Elsworth said.

Elsworth said Meghan made the right decision not to attend the coronation ceremony. Previously, at Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee, people in London, England continuously booed to show their opposition to the Sussex family causing a stir for demanding to leave the royal family.
