Molly Qerim laid into Chris Russo as they clashed on the topic of March Madness brackets

CHRIS ‘Mad Dog’ Russo may have gone too far during Wednesday’s episode of First Take.

Presenting his usual ‘What are you mad about?’ segment on the popular ESPN sports talk show, Russo called out host Shannon Sharpe for picking all the No. 1 seeded teams to make the Final Four in both the men’s and women’s NCAA Tournaments.

'To pick four No. 1 seeds, anybody in America could do that...you could do that,' Chris 'Mad Dog' Russo (R) claimed, pointing to Molly Qerim (C)

Qerim then stormed off the set to get her March Madness bracket, adding, "You just ticked me off!'

“To pick four No. 1 seeds, anybody in America could do that, my 10-year-old could do that, Jeanne (his wife) could do that, you could do that,” he said, pointing at a stunned Qerim after she called him “mean” for singling out Jeanne.

“Oh I’m getting my bracket right now, you just ticked me off!” she yelled as she walked off-set.

“Let me get my bracket. Let me get my bracket you little hater.”

After returning to the set, Qerim handed Russo her printed brackets, saying, “Look at this you little hater.”

“She’s got UConn and Houston (both top-seeded teams) in the Championship Game,” Russo mocked.

Qerim pointed out that her other two Final Four selections, Creighton and Arizona, were not No. 1 seeds, asking, “What’s wrong with that?”

“She took a Big East team and she took a two-seed, that’s not exactly going out on the limb either!” Russo responded.

Tensions continued to boil over, as Qerim quizzed Russo on why he hadn’t filled in a bracket of his own.

“I did one, I did a great bracket!” he insisted.

Qerim eventually returned with her brackets, noting that she had two non-top-seeded teams in her men's Final Four

But when asked if they could see it, Russo responded, “We’ve got to save that.”

Following more back and forth between Russo and Stephen A. Smith, Qerim added, “I don’t appreciate the shot at Jeanne or the shot at myself.”

Russo’s rant came the morning after the men’s March Madness got off to a hot start with the First Four.

Wagner and Colorado State both made it through to the First Round with wins against Howard and Virginia – whose performance Smith tore apart on First Take – respectively.

The First Four is scheduled to conclude on Wednesday with Grambling taking on Montana State, and Colorado facing Boise State.

The women’s tournament is also set to begin on Wednesday, with Sacred Heart taking on Presbyterian, and Vanderbilt facing Columbia in the First Four.

The arguments continued between the two, with Qerim eventually noting that she did not 'appreciate' Russo's 'shot at myself'
