Shedeur Sanders looks on during warmups.

It became fairly obvious throughout the 2023 season that Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton did not care to have Rusell Wilson as his quarterback.

This offseason, the team has cut ties with Russell Wilson and traded wide receiver Jerry Jeudy.

The team currently has Jarrett Stidham and Ben DiNucci in the QB room and they have passed on signing others such as Sam Darnold, Jacoby Brissett, Joe Flacco, Mac Jones, Baker Mayfield, or Kirk Cousins.

It has led to many people thinking about what their plan is.

Well, a new rumor circulating online is accusing the team already of trying to tank the 2024 season to not only secure the number one overall draft pick in 2025 but also use it to take Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders.

Shedeur Sanders will return to Colorado for another year after setting a school record with 3,230 passing yards last season.

He also surpassed the 10,000-yard mark for his career and currently has a total of 97 TDs.

Four NFL scouts told BuffsBeat he’s among the “top five” passers in the 2024 draft class. Sanders had a better completion percentage than North Carolina’s Drake Maye and former Heisman winner USC’s Caleb Williams and both of them might be taken within the top five picks this year.

Going from Colorado in college to the Denver Broncos would be quite a sight to see.
