Super Bowl viewers were quick to pounce on Alicia Keys on Sunday night as she did not have the best start to her performance alongside Usher.

Alicia Keys sounded less-than-perfect during the Super Bowl Halftime Show, but you wouldn’t know if you watched the YouTube version. Million of folks watched and heard Keys’ voice strain and crack on the opening notes of “If I Ain’t Got You,” which she played before transitioning to her duet with Usher, “My Boo.”

If you missed it and headed over to YouTube to watch it, the NFL’s official YouTube page made sure you never heard that original version as they edited it to sound so much better.

You can see both versions below:

The 43-year-old pop star made a surprise guest appearance during Usher’s rousing halftime performance as she was dressed in a red, sparkly gown. Elsewhere, Jermaine Dupri, H.E.R., Lil Jon, and Ludacris were invited to the stage to perform with Usher as well.

Sunday’s game saw the Kansas City Chiefs defend their championship title for the second consecutive year against the San Francisco 49ers at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Patrick Mahomes was named Super Bowl 2024 MVP. He won the trophy following the Kansas City Chiefs’ 25-22 victory over the San Francisco 49ers, making it the third time in his career that he has won the honor.
