The NFL moved Sunday’s Wild Card playoff game between the Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Steelers to Monday afternoon. And if you’re looking for an explanation for this decision, all you have to do is take a look at the video below.

In it, you’ll see just how devastating the winter storm that’s currently sweeping through downtown Buffalo is right now.

The state of New York is urging people to avoid traveling, and they’ve instituted a commercial vehicle ban along a strip of the I-90 due to the extremely windy conditions.

Here’s another video of NFL reporter Cameron Wolfe, who’s in Buffalo to cover the game:

Despite all of this, there were still many online who seemed disappointed that today’s game wasn’t taking place as scheduled.

Everyone loves a snow game at this time of year, but this is beyond any snow game we’ve seen. With snow falling and winds gusting as high as 50 miles per hour, it would be nearly impossible to see anything taking place on the field (for both the television viewers and the players themselves).

And then there’s the whole issue of fans actually making it safely to the stadium.

For now, we’ll all have to do with a Monday afternoon contest, but even that is not a sure thing at the moment.
