Nikola and Natalija Jokic were high school sweethearts, and she has supported his record-breaking NBA career.

She was also at the Denver Nuggets parade on Thursday to celebrate their championship victory, but it came at a painful price.

The Denver Nuggets were having a blast amid their NBA Finals championship parade. However, Nikola Jokic’s wife got nailed by a stray beer can during the parade.

As you can see, the stray beer came flying into the frame and nails Natalija Jokic in the face. She is quickly attended to by the man on her left and Nikola Jokic behind her. Clearly, there was no ill intent behind the flying can as throwing beers to players has become more and more common at championship parades.

She appeared to be okay.

The couple got married in October 2020, but Natalija has been by Nikola’s side since their teenage years. When Nikola joined the Nuggets in 2015, she moved to Denver with him — and has been supporting the two-time NBA MVP from the sidelines ever since.

Natalija can frequently be seen at Nikola’s games with their daughter Ognjena.

Nikola was named NBA Finals MVP after the Denver Nuggets secured their first NBA championship. The Nuggets are expected to be in the same position next season as they will bringing back pretty much the same core of players.

Now that they have won it all, they will have the biggest target on their backs.
