THE NFL has fined both Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid in the aftermath of the Kansas City Chiefs’ chaotic loss to the Buffalo Bills.
Chiefs quarterback Mahomes, 28, and head coach Reid, 65, spoke out after a late Kadarius Toney go-ahead touchdown was controversially called back in the 20-17 defeat.

The pair have now been hit with fines from the NFL, per USA Today and NBC’s Mike Florio.
ESPN’s NFL Insider Adam Schefter reported Reid was fined $100,000, while Mahomes was hit with a $50,000 fine for unsportsmanlike conduct.
Mahomes had to be restrained by teammates on the sidelines after officials threw the fourth-quarter flag against Toney.
The Chiefs wide receiver lined up offside as Kansas City drove downfield looking for a go-ahead touchdown.
Mahomes found Travis Kelce on the play, who threw an outrageous unplanned lateral across the field to Toney.
The former New York Giants wideout danced into the endzone, only for the play to be called back.
Mahomes was seemingly furious that officials hadn’t warned Toney about his breach into the neutral zone before throwing a flag.
And he was backed up by coach Reid as emotions ran high at Arrowhead Stadium.
Following the game, Reid told reporters: “Very disappointed that it ended the way it did.
“Normally I’ll get – I never use any of this as excuses, but normally I get a warning before something like that happens in a big game.
“[It’s] a bit embarrassing in the National Football League for that to take place.”
Mahomes was overheard on the field telling Bills quarterback Josh Allen the call was “f***ing wild.”
In his post-game press conference, the two-time MVP said: “It’s tough to swallow.
“Not only from me, and football in general, to take away greatness like that, for a guy like Travis [Kelce] to make a play like that, you want to see the guys on the field decide the game.
“They’re human. They make mistakes. But every week, we’re talking about something.
“I’ve never had offensive offsides called. If it does, they warn you. There wasn’t a warning the entire game.
“And then you make a call like that in the final minute? Another game, we’re talking about the refs. It’s not what we want for the NFL.”
The Chiefs (8-5) are still top of the AFC West and are back in action against the New England Patriots (3-10) on Sunday.
