Paul Costict, a member of the ’90s hip-hop and rap group B-Rock and the Bizz, has died. He was 57.
The musician passed away “unexpectedly,” according to TMZ, Oct. 21 at his home in Norfolk, Virginia.
The Post has reached out to Costict’s representatives for comment.
His cause of death is unclear.
According to family members that spoke to TMZ, as recently as Wednesday, Costict “seemed to be in good spirits … but mentioned recently being sick.”
B-Rock & the Bizz, were known for being the first rap group from Mobile, Alabama, when they formed in 1986.
The hip-hop collective consisted of producer, rapper and singer, Baron “B-Rock” Agee, his brother Leevirt Agee, Thaddeus “T-Bird” Maye and Costict.
B-Rock and the Bizz are best known for the 1997 single, “My Baby Daddy.”
The quartet signed to Pound 4 Pound Records, a label based in Miami, after being discovered at a talent show and released the local hit “Do Dat Dance” in 1992.

In April of that year, the song rose up the charts and peaked at No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Despite the group being considered a one-hit wonder, their legacy continues in the hip-hop community. In 2022, a pregnant Rihanna paid tribute to B-Rock and the Bizz by wearing a “dat’s just my baby daddy” T-shirt while walking hand-in-hand with her boyfriend A$AP Rocky.
