Rapper Desiigner was charged Monday with a federal count of indecent exposure on an aircraft amid allegations he masturbated in front of flight attendants while on an international flight.
The 25-year-old musical artist faces a misdemeanor charge punishable by up to 90 days in custody and $500 in fines linked with accusations about his conduct on an April 17 Delta flight from Tokyo to Minneapolis.
The Panda performer, whose full name is Sidney Royel Selby III, initially exposed himself about 60 to 90 minutes after takeoff while seated in first class, according to a legal complaint reviewed by the AP.
The Brooklyn, New York native initially covered up after exposing himself, according to the complaint, but a pair of flight attendants saw him playing with himself and told him to stop, which he did.
At that point, the lead flight attendant informed the musical artist that he was going to be taken into custody over his behavior.

Soon thereafter, Desiigner was seen a third time with his genitals exposed, at which point he was taken to the back of the aircraft.
When he was switching seats at one point, Desiigner dropped a container of lubricant – Vaseline – into the aisle, according to the complaint, TMZ reported.
A pair of people traveling with the rapper told flight officials they would monitor him moving forward, according to the complaint.
Desiigner had informed his own security guard that he was ‘sorry’ that he had ‘messed up’ and had been ‘bugging’ in his conduct.
The musical artist told the flight crew he was sorry for his actions at the end of the flight, at which point he was detained by authorities.
Amid an exchange with authorities from the FBI, Desiigner said that he ‘didn’t get much cootie’ on his trip to Japan, and was ‘brick hard’ after he found himself attracted to one of the flight attendants, which compelled him to expose himself.
He said that he believed showing the flight attendant his ‘magic stick’ would provide her with the ‘encouragement’ to further engage with him, the complaint read.
Desiigner said that he was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol while on the flight, the complaint read, and the FBI agent who spoke with him said he didn’t appear to be impaired.
