We will never hear what Travis Kelce actually said to Andy Reid.

During Super Bowl LVIII, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce angrily approached coach Andy Reid after he was kept out of a play that ended up being a turnover. He not only yelled at him but bumped him and almost knocked him over.

The Kansas City Chiefs are reportedly making sure the general public never finds out exactly what Travis Kelce said to Andy Reid at Super Bowl LVIII.

According to Ryan Glasspiegel of the New York Post, NFL Films’ Inside the NFL has buried that audio as the Chiefs are suspected of having it blocked to avoid having that soundbite out.

One of Glasspiegel’s sources alleges that Reid himself may have given that order.

“Two people highly plugged into the sports media business told The Post that they suspect the Chiefs blocked NFL Films — which captures the mic’d up audio — and “Inside the NFL” from airing the direct Kelce soundbite, with one saying he thought that this edict came from Reid,” Glasspiegel wrote.

Glasspiegel found that out that the media company is no stranger to doing this as they have tons of archived soundbites of sensitive content that has never been made public.
“One source told The Post that there are jokes amongst NFL Films crews that there is a vault that contains all the sensitive content from over the years that has never made it to TV,” he wrote.

“In the case of Kelce, there would not necessarily be a large cohort of people privy to the audio, and knowledge of what was said could be constrained to a small circle of producers who are trained not to spread inflammatory material.”
The altercation occurred shortly after the Chiefs turned the ball over in the second quarter as running back Isiah Pacheco fumbled the ball just yards away from the 49ers’ end zone, and the team failed to score its first points of the game infuriating Kelce.

The star tight end was seen screaming at Reid after the turnover. In the heat of the moment, Kelce accidentally bumped Reid and caused him to stumble.

Kelce explained the situation on his podcast New Heights as he stated he told Reid to put the ball in his hands and let him be the reason the team wins or loses.
