Despite claims of Russell Wilson’s market being cold, there are at least two teams interested in the free-agent quarterback following his release from the Denver Broncos.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Wilson met with the New York Giants in New Jersey on Friday, before his scheduled meeting with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the QB was spotted at an airport in Newark on his way to Pittsburgh. Schefter has since reported that he also held an “exploratory meeting” with the Giants before flying out.

The Giants signed Daniel Jones to a four-year deal last year, which will see him earn $36 million guaranteed in 2024. However, the team wasn’t all that satisfied with his production last season, while he was only able to play six games due to injury.

Jones threw for 909 yards, two touchdowns, and six interceptions, completing 68 percent of his passes.

He was sacked 30 times and was brought down on 15.8 percent of his dropbacks.

Wilson, meanwhile, could accept a veteran’s minimum salary as the Broncos still owe him $39 million for 2024. The nine-time Pro Bowler completed 66.4 percent of his passing attempts for 3,070 yards, 26 touchdowns, and eight interceptions.

The Las Vegas Raiders are also reportedly interested in meeting with him in the wake of his departure from Denver.
