Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins is viewed as a top-tier free agent wideout and an explosive weapon. Any team would be lucky to have him.

One player has openly vouched that Tee Higgins needs to sign with the Bengals’ rival.

Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson vouched for Cincinnati Bengals’ soon-to-be free agent WR Tee Higgins to end up in Cleveland. With his fingers on both hands crossed in the video clip, Watson called for Higgins to sign with the Browns on his Lockerverse podcast.

“We wanna pass the ball. That’s what we’re gonna do,” Watson told quarterback trainer Quincy Avery on his podcast. “We’re gonna pass the ball a lot.”

“He ain’t gotta leave the state,” Avery added.

“We’re gonna take good care of you,” Watson said indirectly to Higgins. “The Cleveland fans are gonna love you to death. We got the Clemson ties. We ain’t get to play with each other, but this is our opportunity.”

Watson and Higgins are both repped by NFL agent David Mulugheta. Watson played at Clemson from 2014-2016 and Higgins starred there from 2017-2019.

It will be an uphill battle for Cleveland as they rank 27th in the NFL with negative cap space right now as they continue to search for help around Watson. Not to mention, Watson has been one of the NFL’s worst players at his position since taking over as the starter in Cleveland following his suspension.

In six total games this season, Watson ends the year with 1,115 passing yards, seven touchdowns, and four interceptions. Cleveland had a 5-1 record, but many of those games were easily won by the stout defense. A shoulder injury derailed his season.

Higgins saw a drop-off in production in 2023 and finished with 656 yards.

Higgins will hit free agency when the new league year begins on March 13. The Bengals will ultimately franchise tag him in an effort to preserve a Super Bowl run in 2024.
