New data released by a top football analyst reveals which five NFL teams have the five easiest strengths of schedule for the 2024 regular season.

The NFL usually releases its regular season schedule in the second week of May, two weeks after the draft. For now, we know that the Kansas City Chiefs will host the annual Kickoff Game for the second straight year at Arrowhead Stadium on Sept. 5.

Last week, the league also announced that the Green Bay Packers will face the Philadelphia Eagles in São Paulo, Brazil, on Sept. 6. As usual, the Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions will host two of the three Thanksgiving games.

Though we’re still waiting for the 2024 regular season schedule to be released, Warren Sharp of Sharp Football Analysis has revealed which teams have the easiest and toughest schedules this season.

Vegas released their 2024 win totals for all 32 NFL teams, and Sharp factored that in with his strength of schedule rankings. According to his data, it’s the Atlanta Falcons who have the easiest schedule for 2024.

According to Sharp’s analysis, the second easiest NFL schedule belongs to the Los Angeles Chargers, with the Chicago Bears coming in third. The New York Jets and New Orleans Saints have the fourth and fifth easiest strength of schedules, respectively.

Falcons 2024 NFL Opponents

Playing in the soft NFC South division that hasn’t produced a 10-win team since 2021 obviously makes for a friendly schedule in Atlanta. With Kirk Cousins coming aboard, the Falcons are now the team to beat in the NFC South.

The Falcons will also get the AFC West (Kansas City, Denver, Las Vegas, Los Angeles Chargers), the NFC East (Dallas, New York Giants, Washington and Philadelphia), Pittsburgh, Minnesota and Seattle. Among those clubs, only the Chiefs, Cowboys, Eagles and Steelers made the playoffs in 2023.

Carolina (2-15) was the worst team in football last year, and Atlanta gets them twice. Washington (4-13), Los Angeles (5-12), New York (6-11), Minnesota (7-10), Denver (8-9) and Las Vegas (8-9) also add up to friendly opponents for Atlanta.
