Detroit Lions took away the playoff victory by 24-23 in the wild-card round against the Rams.

Los Angeles Rams‘ first game into the playoffs was the homecoming story of their star quarterback Matthew Stafford. However, the game didn’t go as the Rams hoped for as the Detroit Lions dominated the field and an eventual victory by 24-23 in the wild-card round.

However, the Detroit fans seemed to be focused more on booing the former Lions quarterback mercilessly instead of enjoying the victory. But none of that affected Stafford and he went to the sideline to shower his children with kisses and hugs, and also shared a lovely kiss with his wife, who came in to support the quarterback.

The 35-year-old quarterback was drafted as the first pick in the 2009 NFL draft by the Lions. In the 12 years that he gave to the team, he led the team to the playoffs three times before finally being traded to the Rams. As his replacement, the Lions hired Jared Goff, who took the team to the Divisional round for the first time in 32 years.

Though both the quarterbacks had well wishes for each other, Lions fans didn’t seem to have appreciated Stafford’s return. They booed the quarterback the whole time he was on the field. But as the quarterback decided to go to his family instead of being upset, showed how unbothered the Rams quarterback was.

With the long-awaited return of their father in the playoff game against his former team, Stafford’s children came down to support him wearing adorable little jackets with ‘Detroit Born LA Raised‘ written on them, with their mother Kelly Stafford.

Stafford’s wife also introduced their twin daughters Sawyer and Chandler, wearing Rams cap and shoes, to the Lions’ owner, Martha Firestone Ford, who spotted them early wearing those adorable jackets.

Though the Stafford-led Rams couldn’t turn the game into a victory, the quarterback is no stranger to the postgame glory. It was because of him that the Rams won the Super Bowl back in 2022 against the Cincinnati Bengals. And even though this year, Stafford couldn’t work his magic, he sure will next season.
