Johnny Manziel clapping
The Aggies are through to the next round of the NCAA Tournament following a 98-83 win over the Cornhuskers, apparently much to the delight of the former quarterback, who won the Heisman while representing the school’s football program in 2012.

Manziel was shown in the crowd during the first half of the game as he spoke to friends. Aggies writer Billy Liucci was also seen next to him.

Given how animated he was, fans couldn’t help but wonder whether he bet on the game.

Check out some of the tweets below:

One fan who says he was at the game claimed to have been sitting close to Johnny Manziel, who might have been the loudest Aggies fan in the arena.

“Johnny Manziel is here at FedExForum and sitting about 3 feet behind me. Dude might be the loudest Texas A&M fan in the building — been yelling practically in my ear for most of this one so far,” he tweeted.

Not Everyone Is Convinced Johnny Manziel Has Changed

Manziel admitted to a lot of the things he was accused of during his playing days in a Netflix documentary called ‘Untold: Johnny Football’ that dropped last year. Gambling and drugs were chief among his problems back then.

It’s why fans reckon he was up to no good on Friday.

Still, if he did have money on the game, he wouldn’t have been in the wrong as sports betting is legal in Memphis, Tennessee, where the game between A&M and Nebraska was hosted.

Manziel recently made the headlines for pulling out of all Heisman affairs in support of Reggie Bush, who had his achievement scrubbed for accepting gifts as a player. The former Cleveland Browns QB has been urging the NCAA to reinstate Bush for a while now, so far to no avail.
