Malik Nabers doesn’t seem the least bit excited to be a New York Giants player.

The former LSU wide receiver was selected as the No. 6 overall pick by the Giants on Thursday night after a sensational college campaign and spoke to reporters on Friday, having realized a dream of making it to the NFL.

Nabers has to play for the Giants, but he doesn’t have to be happy about it.

He appeared a bit upset when he arrived at the team’s facility yesterday and showed even less enthusiasm during his sitdown with reporters.

The media asked Nabers about his new teammate, quarterback Daniel Jones, at one point, and he looked angry while delivering his response.

“Yeah, I actually did talk to Daniel Jones,” he said after a question on whether he had any contact with the Qb. “He was like I’m happy you’re here. We’re going to hit the ground running. He’s going to learn about me, and I’m going to learn about him, and we’re going to get together.”

He didn’t actually say “Daniel Jones,” though. He said, “Janiel Dones.”

Malik Nabers Avoided Answering Another Question About Daniel Jones

Asked what he thinks of Jones as a quarterback, Nabers refused to answer directly.

“I’ll wait until I get here to see all of that. I’m just happy to be here,” he said. “Great organization here, so I’m just happy to be here.”

“I believe Nabers is happy to be a Giant. I also think it’s hilarious how he keeps going out of his way to not talk about DJ as a player,” one fan said.

“He essentially said “no comment,” another observed.

While Nabers claims to be happy with his new home, his body language says the opposite. We’ll just have to wait and see whether he develops good chemistry with his teammates, especially Jones.
