An old video of USC quarterback Caleb Williams throwing an absolute bomb with the simple flick of a wrist has resurfaced.

Caleb Williams is a practical guarantee to go first overall to the Chicago Bears when the 2024 NFL Draft begins on Apr. 25. The Bears obtained the top pick via the Carolina Panthers, who surrendered their 2024 first-rounder as part of the deal to move up and take Bryce Young first overall a year ago.

An old viral video of Williams from the NFL Rookie Watch X/Twitter account has resurfaced. The video shows the 2022 Heisman Trophy winner launching a gem of a deep ball with a simple flick of his right wrist:

Some wondered if Chicago would either take a non-QB with the No. 1 selection or if they would look to trade it to the highest bidder. But the Bears essentially confirmed that they were taking Caleb Williams first overall once they traded Justin Fields to the Pittsburgh Steelers for a late-round pick.

In his final year of college football, Caleb Williams completed 68.6 percent of his pass attempts for 3,633 yards and 30 touchdowns against five interceptions to go along with 136 rushing yards and 11 rushing scores.

Caleb Williams Will Make An Immediate Impact In Chicago

The Bears won seven games last season with the No. 18 scoring offense and the No. 20 scoring defense. But with Caleb Williams on the way, the Bears should immediately emerge as playoff contenders in 2024.

Chicago will have a full season of star edge rusher Montez Sweat, whom they acquired via trade with Washington. The offense also got deeper with the acquisitions of Keenan Allen (acquired via trade with the Los Angeles Chargers) and D’Andre Swift (signed in free agency).

Williams should be an upgrade at QB over the inconsistent Fields, too, so don’t be surprised if Chicago makes the jump to double-digit wins and a postseason appearance in 2024.
