A WHEEL of Fortune contestant has faced an epic fail, leaving the in-studio audience thoroughly unimpressed.

Tasked with a nearly completed puzzle, Tara from South Carolina landed on the elusive million-dollar wedge, only to make a bewildering wrong guess.

Thursday’s contestants were going around a puzzle under the category “Let There Be Light!.”

Vincent went bankrupt, so Tara spun next and landed on the coveted Million Dollar wedge, which she could pick up as long as she called a correct letter.

The puzzle read as: “BULB, BEA_ _ N, SUN, STARS.” – with all the words being “light” related.

Pat Sajak, 77, explained: “Now, you need to call a letter that’s in the puzzle and that letter is…”

“H?” she asked hesitantly as the crowd gasped, shouting and booing.

There was no “H,” so Tara had to put the wedge back down.

The last contestant, Zoey, correctly called for a “C” and handily solved the puzzle as “Bulb, Beacon, Sun, Stars.”

One shocked Wheel of Fortune fan took to X, writing: “‘H’? @WheelofFortune.”

‘LUCKIEST WOMAN ON THE PLANET’

What made the failure even more puzzling was that a few rounds later, Tara landed on another million wedge.

This time, she did get a letter right, so she got to pick it up.

If brought to the bonus round, a million-dollar wedge sees the $100,000 wedge replaced with a shot at $1 million on the wheel.

That said, it didn’t matter in the end since she lost the game to Zoe, still – fans were stunned.

Another social media user wrote: “This lady on Wheel of Fortune really the luckiest woman on the planet. To somehow still end up landing on the million dollar wedge, and getting it, after just messin it up on an easy puzzle is wild.”

WHEEL OF MISFORTUNE

During Pat’s sendoff season, wrong answers on the beloved game show just keep on spinning.

Recently, a contestant missed the bonus puzzle “BAGELS & D_ _G _ N_TS,” unable to guess “doughnuts,” costing her a BMW.

Another contestant lost by mispronouncing one word of a completed puzzle, fans debating Pat’s “cold-blooded” ruling.

More humorously, a contestant went viral for her wrong answer: “The British Ogre.”

In the fall, NFL star Rashad Jennings went viral for thinking director Quentin Tarantino was “Puentin” Tarantino.

Of course, the season’s biggest Wheel moment was the bonus round miss heard around the world, with everyone claiming Megan was “robbed” and said the bonus puzzle correctly.

Megan went on GMA to respond to the “Pink Orchid” controversy and let fans know she did not, in fact, say “Pink Orchid.”

Pat is retiring at the end of Season 41 in June 2024, marking the end of an era as Ryan Seacrest will begin hosting next fall.
